An analog VTX requires compatible analog reception, while digital systems usually require goggles or receivers designed for that specific digital ecosystem.


10. LiPo Battery and Charger

Most FPV drones use LiPo batteries.

Battery specifications such as cell count, capacity, discharge capability, connector type, and physical size must match your drone. For example, many FPV drones are designed specifically around 4S or 6S batteries.

🚀 BNF vs RTF: Which Is Better for Beginners?

If you do not want to build your first FPV drone from individual components, you can start with a prebuilt model.

BNF — Bind-N-Fly

A Bind-N-Fly drone comes mostly assembled and ready to configure.

You normally still need your own compatible radio transmitter, FPV goggles, batteries, and charger. BNF drones are a good option if you already own FPV equipment or want to choose your radio and video system separately.

RTF — Ready-to-Fly
